Types of Winter Covers
Skirted Winter Cover instructions 
This winter cover is designed to sit on the water.  It is important to ensure the pool is not leaking. 

  • Follow the pool manufactures winterizing instructions
  • The must be chlorinated until freeze-up to prevent algae growth
  • Pad sharp corners, rough edges or protrusions to protect your new cover
  • Lower the water level in the pool to below the skimmer and plug the return
  • Lay the cover on the ground with black side down
  • It is important that covers be installed properly and snugly to prevent flapping in the high winds
  • Place the cover over the pool with black side down
  • Fasten the cable onto the uprights of the pool with screws provided.  Use 7/16 inch drill to make a starting hole for the screw.  Install the guides 4” below the edges of the cover
  • Feed the cable through the loops and guides until the ends of the cable meet
  • Pull the cable as tight as you can using your hands
  • Insert the cable end through the hole at one end of the winch and into the centre spindle.  Insert the other cable end through the other hole in the winch and tighten.  Make sure the cable is tight against the pool wall to prevent wind from causing the cover to flap or parachute

These winter covers are manufactured in Canada.  These covers are available for Above Ground and In-ground and On-ground pools.  The Artic Blue Eliminator winter cover comes with 7 year and 14 year warranty.

How does the Eliminator Winter Cover work?
The Eliminator Strip is a blue mesh line that runs down the center of the cover.  During the winter ice and snow fills the cover weighing it down in the centre.  As the snow melts in the spring the water filters through the Eliminator Strip, allowing the cover to return to its original tight position.  Any debris, leaves and dirt dries up and simply blows away.

Standard or Basic  Above ground Winter Cover

Our covers are Laminated polyethylene woven with thick, high-density plastic stitching that ensures superior tensile strength and durability. necessary for the Canadian harsh winters.  All covers are  treated to provide maximum resistance to damaging ultraviolet rays, which inhibits deterioration, prevents tearing, and increases the covers' longevity and lifespan.  We recommend a leaf cover with this purchase.   The leaf cover will keep the most of the debris out of the pool weighing down the winter cover causing stress on the pool.  

Not for use with Soft Sided Pools (Intex, Bestway, etc)

This premium strength cover is best for pools that are in open fields or have a lot of wind.  All winter covers are treated to provide maximum resistance to damaging ultraviolet rays, which inhibits deterioration, prevents tearing, and increases the covers' longevity and lifespan.
